Introduction to the Nursing Program
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing: BSN: Accelerated Option Program is offered by the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences.

The degree offered is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Specialized Admissions:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Complete all prerequisites with a grade of C or higher
- Complete all prerequisite science courses within the last 10 years
- Have a Cumulative Transfer GPA (Bachelor's Degree) of 3.0 or higher
- Have a Cumulative GPA for nursing prerequisites of 3.25 or higher
- Complete the Nursing Entrance Exam ATI TEAS (7th Edition) with:
- A minimum 70% Comprehensive/Total Score
- A minimum 62% Science Score
Special Notes
- This accelerated option program is only for students with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Applicants must complete both the FIU admissions application and the NursingCAS Application (Centralized Application Service for Nursing Programs).
- MAC 1105 (College Algebra) is not required for this program. Instead, students should select MGF or STA courses that satisfy the AA.

The following prerequisites are required for the program:
- STA 2023 Statistics
- BSC 2085 + BSC 2085L Human Anatomy and Physiology I + Lab
- BSC 2086 + BSC 2086L Human Anatomy and Physiology II + Lab
- MCB 2010 + MCB 2010L Microbiology + Lab (Note: The equivalent course is MCB 2000 + MCB 2000L)
- CHM 1032 + CHM 1032L General Chemistry Science Allied Fields + Lab (Note: The equivalent course is CHM 1033 + CHM 1033L)
- HUN 1201 Human Nutrition (Note: The equivalent course is HUN 2201)
- DEP 2004 Developmental Psychology (Note: The equivalent course is DEP 2000)
- PSY 2012 General Psychology
