Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this program, students must:


  • Complete an Associate in Arts (AA) degree
  • Complete all prerequisites with a grade of C or higher
  • Have a cumulative Transfer GPA of 2.0 or higher

Special Notes

It is strongly encouraged that students complete math and science courses every term to make satisfactory progress toward completing all prerequisites and the AA degree prior to transfer. An additional upper division course is required for this program, and students are encouraged to take this course prior to completing the AA.

  • MAC 2312 Calculus with Analytic Geometry 2
  • MAC 2313 Calculus with Analytic Geometry 3
  • COP 2800 Programming in Java (equivalent to COP 2210)
  • Completion of one of the following science courses with lab:
    • BSC 1010 + BSC 1010L Principles of Biology 1 + Lab (equivalent to BSC 2010 + BSC 2010L)
    • BSC 1011 + BSC 1011L Principles of Biology 2 + Lab (equivalent to BSC 2011 + BSC 2011L)
    • CHM 1045 + CHM 1045L General Chemistry 1 + Lab
    • CHM 1046 + CHM 1046L General Chemistry 2 + Lab
    • PHY 2048 + PHY 2048L General Physics with Calculus 1 + Lab
