Program Overview

Jain Studies Program

The Jain Studies Program is offered by the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University.

Certificate

The Undergraduate Certificate in Jain Studies requires 15 credit hours, including a required foundation course and four elective courses. The certificate is open to both degree and non-degree seeking students. Any FIU course that has at least one-third (1/3) Jainism content may also count towards the certificate. Up to six (6) credit hours of coursework in a relevant Indic language may be applied as electives towards the certificate.

Study Abroad

Students are encouraged to earn credits through a study abroad (summer travel) program with an institute in India. Several programs are offered. Students may earn three (3) to six (6) credits for study abroad.
