Program Overview
Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies
The Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies offers the opportunity to integrate scholarship about women and gender differences into a graduate degree in any discipline, or as a freestanding program of study.
Program Overview
This certificate program is open to degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking graduate students. Undergraduate students in their senior year may take graduate-level courses to complete their graduate certificate as a post-baccalaureate certificate. Students with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university may enroll as a non-degree-seeking student and complete the graduate certificate.

The program requires 15 credit hours.

Additional Information
Students in the graduate certificate program may take up to three hours of approved independent study work (WST 5905) and/or may count up to three master's or doctoral research hours in their major department if the focus of dissertation encompasses topics and scholarship in women's and gender studies.
Application Process
Current graduate degree-seeking students only need to submit the Graduate Certificate Application and submit it to the department for approval. Non-degree-seeking applicants should complete the online graduate certificate application and submit the required documentation.
