Open University: Free-of-Charge Studies for Ukraine Citizens

The Open University is offering free-of-charge studies for Ukraine citizens. The studies may be taken for free during the school year 2025-2026. Course registration must be completed by July 31, 2026.

• The Open University offers individual courses in Business, Technology, Languages, and Arts.
• Some courses require prior knowledge of the topic; any prerequisites are mentioned in the course description.
• Students are admitted to individual courses in the order of registration.
• Students are granted a course-specific study right, and the right is only valid for a fixed period.

Admission Criteria

To register for the Open University courses, follow these steps:

• Contact the Open University office during the registration period and indicate which course(s) you wish to take.
• If there is still room in the course, the Open University will send instructions on how to send a copy of your passport by encrypted email.
• When sending your passport copy, also indicate your telephone number and email address.
• When you are registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Virtual Reality and AI Summer Course

The university offers a summer course on Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence, which focuses on technology as a means for human-centric innovation. The course explores how these technologies will reshape how we experience history, empathize with distant conflicts, and influence persuasion.

English Language Course

Sustainability Education

The School of Business has renewed its status as a Champion member of the global PRME network for sustainability education for 2026-2027. Only two other Nordic universities were awarded Champion-level membership.
