Master's program in Cinematography
The master's program in cinematography is a program of the School of Arts and Design. The program has nine main subjects, which are:
- a documentary film
- film and television script
- film editing
- filming
- film direction
- film and television production
- film recording and sound design
- film and television staging
- costume design: performing arts and film
Documentary film, Master of Arts
The goal of the documentary film major in the master's program in cinematography is to train innovative, critical and analytical documentary film directors to work in both national and international fields. Students learn to deeply understand the history and practices of documentary film. In addition, the master's program encourages students to shape the future of documentary film as a form of storytelling, art and research.
Film and TV production, Master of Arts
The major subject of film and TV production trains artistic designers who are responsible for the visual, functional and production aspects of film production.
Film and TV production, Master of Arts
The goal of the film and television production major in the master's program in cinematography is to deepen the student's skills in the direction of his choice towards independent audiovisual entrepreneurship, a research or development project in the field of film and television production, a deepening of the understanding of artistic management, or similar in-depth knowledge to be planned together with the student.
Film Editing, Master of Arts
The film editing major trains experts and thinkers capable of planning and implementing post-production. Editing students specialize in the management of cinematic narration and pictorial entities. They familiarize themselves with both the aesthetic tradition of their own region and the possibilities offered by the latest technology.
Cinematography, Master of Arts
In the master's studies of the cinematography major of the master's program in cinematography, the student deepens his professional knowledge for a stronger control of the artistic, production and technical whole of his own professional field in various film, TV and advertising productions.
Film directing, Master of Arts
The studies of the film directing major in the Master of Cinematography program strengthen the student director's ideation, idea development, story building and narration skills, and develop the director's own personal cinematic style and author identity.
Film and TV script, Master of Arts
The goal of the master's studies in film and TV screenwriting is to strengthen the student's own personal expression, cinematic writing skills and readiness to work in artistic and productive process and teamwork. The master's student learns about the central theoretical questions of the field and conducting research activities.
Film recording and sound design, Master of Arts
The sound designer has an important role in film and television productions, where an artistic and experiential whole is built.
Costume Design: Performing Arts and Film, Master of Arts
The goals of the Costume Design major in the MA in Stage Design are to train costume design professionals, support the development of their dynamic artistic vision, and promote a research-oriented approach to the performing arts, film, and creative media fields.
Annual fee for the program
Annual tuition fee for the program for students liable for annual tuition fees:
- The right to study started on 1 August 2024 or earlier: 15,000 euros
- Right to study started on or after 1 August 2025: 20,000 euros
