Program Overview
European Mining Course
The European Mining Course (EMC) is a Master's programme that offers a unique international study experience lasting two years. The programme includes one semester of studies at each of the three top universities:
- Aalto University, Finland
- RWTH Aachen, Germany
- Technical University of Leoben, Austria The final semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis, which can be completed at any of the participating universities or within the industry.
Programme Description
The EMC programme trains knowledgeable professionals to meet the globally significant challenge of sustainable development principles increasing the demand for mineral-based materials worldwide. Recycling metals is an important part of the solution, but it is not enough to meet the growing demand. In the future, minerals will still need to be mined from the depths of the earth responsibly and efficiently.
Graduates
Graduates of the EMC programme receive a degree certificate from each participating university and are ready to influence the future of the mining industry.
