Introduction
The Re:Anima Master's programme is a Joint Master degree offered by a consortium of three universities in Belgium, Finland, and Portugal. The programme is oriented towards an international dimension of the industry and the profession, envisioning the creation of an international community of animators who make diverse connections and create a network for future career endeavors.
Study Objectives
Re:Anima proposes a curriculum and didactic approach that balance artistic and technological dimensions, overcoming existing tensions between artistic and technology-driven programmes. Content of the Studies
The programme is divided into four semesters, each focusing on a specific field:
- The 1st semester, hosted by LUCA, is dedicated to narrative and non-narrative storytelling.
- The 2nd semester, hosted by Aalto University, emphasizes technology and expanded use of animation and experimental approaches.
- The 3rd semester, hosted by Lusófona, focuses on exploring documentary approaches and promoting the development of the students' entrepreneurial mind-set.
- The 4th semester is dedicated to the development of the students' final projects, with students assigned to each school according to their area of interest and each school's competences.
