Course Description

Learn to think like an entrepreneur and solve problems by creating something new!


Starting Up is an open online course that covers the basics of startup entrepreneurship. The course is available in English and can be started at any time. The course is self-paced, and no prior knowledge is required.


On the course, you will learn about entrepreneurship, from customer acquisition to team formation and problem definition. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to startup entrepreneurship, and it is suitable for anyone interested in the subject.


The idea for the course was born out of a discussion among student members of the startup Accelerator Kiuka, and it has been developed in collaboration with the venture capital firm Maki.vc, Aalto University's entrepreneurship program Aalto Ventures Program, and the technology company Reaktor.


For university and college students, Aalto University grants 1 credit for completing the course. For others, Aalto University Grants 1 credit for completing the course through the FITech network university.
