The program "Arbeta och l‰ra med generativ AI" is a free, online course offered by Chalmers University of Technology. The course focuses on practical training in using generative AI tools in a professional setting, with an emphasis on responsible, safe, and efficient use.

Course Objectives

The course aims to equip participants with the skills to:

• Use generative AI securely, safely, and efficiently.
• Identify opportunities and risks in their professional role, including bias and integrity issues.
• Create smart prompts, use AI agents, and customize chatbots.
• Contribute to change management and understand human factors in AI adoption.
• Plan for continued competence development and contribute to a learning culture around AI.

Course Structure

• Duration: Approximately 25 hours, including 10 hours of track-specific practice.
• Format: Self-study online, with 6 course sessions (one per week) featuring guest lectures.
• Language: English and Swedish.
• Prerequisites: No prior knowledge is required, but access to ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, or Gemini is necessary.

Certification and Merits

• The course is designed to meet the EU's AI Act requirements for responsible AI use.
• A digital diploma is awarded upon completion of exercises and participation in at least one live and peer learning session.

The course has been developed by a team at Chalmers University of Technology with expertise in humanities, social sciences, technology, pedagogy, complex systems, sustainability, organizational psychology, computer science, and moral philosophy.

• Detailed programming or coding with AI.
• Building and understanding machine learning algorithms.

Instead, it serves as a personal guide and a platform for collective exploration, transforming curiosity into practical competence.
