Master Economie, Sociologie et Gestion de la Santé
The Master Economie, Sociologie et Gestion de la Santé is a program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector and the skills necessary to exercise a function with significant responsibility in a healthcare or medico-social structure.
Presentation of the Program
This first year of the Master's program constitutes a foundational health management training, offering a solid multidisciplinary base. It prepares students to understand and anticipate the evolution of the healthcare system, including the development of Community Professional Territorial Health Communities (CPTS), the growth of digital technology and AI in healthcare, new models of care coordination, and the affirmation of the patient's role in healthcare democracy.
Objectives of the Master
The teachings in the first year allow students to approach new disciplinary fields for health and medico-social professionals, to become familiar with other observation points of their daily reality, other modes of analysis and evaluation, and finally, other registers of vocabulary. Beyond this distancing, more specialized approaches are also proposed to develop management and establishment or service piloting skills.
Target Audience
The Master 1 Economie, Sociologie et Gestion de la Santé is aimed at health and medico-social sector professionals, managers or senior managers, caregivers, medical-technical, educational, or administrative staff wishing to exercise expanded management responsibilities in a healthcare establishment, regardless of its status (private, public, or associative).
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for this program include:
- A recognized higher education diploma at the Bac+3 level or equivalent
- Professional management experience
Program Structure
The program is organized over 10 months, with:
- A duration of 58 days / 362 hours
- Classes held 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) at the Paris 16th pole
- A net fee of 9,000 euros
- The program takes place at the Tour Europlaza, La Défense
Career Opportunities
The first year of the Master Economie, Sociologie et Gestion de la Santé allows students to acquire a first core of knowledge and expertise, opening up to functions with expanded responsibilities (proximity managers, senior managers depending on professional experience) in healthcare, social, and/or medico-social structures. After completing the second year, students can specialize in one of three paths:
- Master 2 Economie et Gestion des organisations sanitaires et médico-sociales
- Master 2 Management de la transformation des secteurs de la santé et du social
- Master 2 Management stratégique des services et établissements pour personnes âgées
Funding
This program is eligible for funding through the CPF (Compte Personnel de Formation) or an OPCO (Opérateur de Compétences).

- Is the Master recognized by the State and registered in the RNCP? Yes, the complete Master's diploma (after the 2nd year) is recognized by the State and allows for the validation of the entire set of competencies of the RNCP title.
- Is this training eligible for financing by the CPF or an OPCO? Yes, the complete diploma is registered in the RNCP and can be financed via the CPF or by an OPCO.
- Can I integrate the 2nd year with a Bac+4 or equivalent experience? Yes, direct access to the 2nd year is possible with a Bac+4 or equivalent professional experience. Three paths are proposed: management of health and medico-social organizations, transformation of establishments, or management of gerontology.
