Graduate Program in Computer Science

The Graduate Programme in Computer Science of the University Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) offers a doctoral program that funds PhD grants for the start of the academic year.

Program Description

The program is open to all, regardless of nationality, and priority is given to co-supervision between two PSL institutions and co-supervision between a PSL institution and an institution abroad.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must have completed (or be in the process of completing) a Master 2 in computer science or mathematics, or an equivalent degree (e.g., engineering degree, foreign Master's degree).

Application Requirements

Candidates and their supervisors must submit an application for admission to the doctoral programme and the award of a doctoral contract. The application must include:

• Thesis project (succinctly written)
• Letter of commitment from the thesis director
• Letter from the candidate explaining why they have chosen this thesis
• Curriculum Vitae
• Transcripts (L1 to M2; if M2 in progress, grades available to the candidate)

Funding and Tuition

The doctoral contract will cover three years of thesis, with a monthly stipend of approximately 2200 /month gross (approximately 1650 net after taxes). Tuition fees (391 per year in 2025) and campus life fees (CVEC, 103 per year in 2025) remain payable by the students at the time of their administrative registration.

The program encompasses various research areas, including those supervised by faculty members from different institutions, such as DI ENS, CBIO, and LAMSADE.
