University Program Details

The engineering cycle is designed to be completed over three years, but students have the option of converting their five-month international engineering internship between the 2nd and 3rd year into a 17-month gap year. During this period, students pay reduced tuition fees.

Gap Year Options

  • Students are required to do at least one internship in a company during the gap year.
    • Many students choose to try out a variety of environments and sectors, such as:
      • Internship in a major energy company in Singapore
      • Internship in a start-up in London
      • Internship in a federal laboratory in the United States
  • Students may also use their gap year to get involved in international solidarity projects, including:
    • Teaching schoolchildren in developing countries
    • Volunteering to help refugee populations
  • The Department of Studies may authorize more atypical projects, even in France, if the student can justify the interest in their career, such as:
    • Cycling around the world
    • Joining the military reserves
    • Recording a record
    • A year of musical or artistic training
