Knowledge box 'Physics'

The Knowledge Box ´Physikª is an interactive and entertaining way for students to learn about physics. Physicists research the laws of nature to better understand and invent new, useful things. For example, they study how electricity or light works and think about how to use these phenomena in research and everyday life.

Key Aspects of the Knowledge Box 'Physics'

  • Setting up experiments, conducting them, and sharing and comparing data obtained through observation
  • Gaining an understanding of the structure of matter and atomic size relationships
  • Get to know properties of particles and waves and the so-called wave-particle duality in an interactive way (Interactively learning about the properties of particles and waves and the so-called wave-particle duality)
  • Gaining insight into the daily research of physicists
  • Developing an understanding of how scientific knowledge is acquired

Further Information

The Knowledge Box ´Physics - Wave, Particle or Both?ª is supported by the patronage of Prof. Dr. Dominik Zumbuhl, University of Basel, Faculty of Humanities, Department of Physics. It is made possible by doctoral students from the University of Basel who conduct school visits.
