Overview

The Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Kulturreflexives Management is a 10-month program that provides students with the fundamentals of cultural management. The program offers in-depth knowledge for organizational, financial, and strategic tasks in the cultural sector.

The program covers central learning content of cultural management, including fundraising, project management, marketing, tourism, mediation, and labor law, and embeds these in societal developments and current debates. Students learn to apply new working instruments and entrepreneurial action in their cultural projects.


Structure

The DAS Kulturreflexives Management is the basic module of the MAS Kulturmanagement. The study days cover central learning content of cultural management and embed these in current debates about societal developments. The program concludes with a final lab where students apply the acquired knowledge to their own project.


The continuing education program is divided into three thematic fields, which consider both the managerial and cultural-scientific perspective.

Target Audience

The DAS Kulturreflexives Management is aimed at all those seeking a part-time and competence-oriented further education in the theory and practice field of cultural management: specialists in cultural companies, cultural administration, and cultural mediation, as well as the creative economy, artists who want to acquire basic management competencies, and university graduates with initial practical experience in the cultural sector.


Admission

A university degree and professional experience in the cultural sector are required. The program commission decides on the admission of applicants with professional practice without a university degree.
