DAS Nonprofit Management & Law

Overview

The DAS Nonprofit Management & Law is a part-time postgraduate program that offers a scientifically founded and practice-oriented education in nonprofit management and related fields. The program focuses on transferring current scientific knowledge from management, law, sociology, and ethics to practical situations. It also promotes personal, professional, and methodological competencies that enable students to lead a nonprofit organization (NPO).

Structure

The program is modular and consists of the following components:

  • CAS Nonprofit & Public Management or
  • CAS Nonprofit Governance & Leadership or
  • CAS Wirkungsmanagement in NPO
  • Elective module: Intensive course on foundation management or intensive course on strategic financial management in NPOs
  • DAS diploma thesis
  • DAS diploma examination

The program covers theoretical foundations and practical examples, including group work, case studies, and discussion rounds. Additional learning content is developed through self-study with modern e-learning methods accompanied by tutors.

Target Audience

The program is designed for individuals who work full-time or part-time in NPO management and want to expand their personal education and professional qualifications for leadership roles. This includes executives and managers of aid organizations, promotional foundations, sports organizations, development organizations, associations, and clubs, as well as board members. A university or college degree (Bachelor or Master) is required. In justified cases, individuals with equivalent prior education and professional experience in a nonprofit organization may be admitted.
