Program Overview

The program "Opening Higher Education - How to strengthen university teaching with open educational resources" is designed to explore the meaning of transformations in higher education due to digitalization.


Description

"Open Education" refers to new forms of knowledge transmission and learning made possible by digitalization. The program aims to discuss general issues concerning the role universities should play in this new landscape and answer practical questions about integrating online learning materials into teaching.


Course Structure

The course is composed of two phases:


  1. Participants receive learning materials (readings, quizzes, etc.) about a week in advance and complete them at their own pace (workload about 2 hours).
  2. An interactive session where the instructor reviews the material, answers questions, and encourages a broader exchange of ideas on open education and Open Educational Resources.

Requirements for Certificate of Attendance

  • Completion of all tasks during the asynchronous learning phase
  • Attendance in the synchronous session
