Program Overview


Program Overview

The CAS Diversity and Equality Competence is a continuing education program offered by the Center for Gender Studies in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW).


Program Goals and Benefits

The program focuses on diversity and equality competence, covering topics such as gender relations, integration, and recognition of diversity. It aims to provide participants with specific competencies to address these issues professionally and sustainably.


Program Structure

The program consists of 7 courses, with a total of 20 attendance days, held in Olten and Basel. One course takes place in Brussels.


Course Overview

The courses cover the following topics:


  • Course 1: Introduction to central questions and concept development
  • Course 2: Governance and strategies of diversity and equality policies I / diversity budgeting
  • Course 3: Governance and strategies of diversity and equality policies II
  • Course 4: Field of action human resources and personnel management / salary
  • Course 5: Organizational development and communication; communication, body, and voice
  • Course 6: Policy and program development in Europe
  • Course 7: Final module
