Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at UT Southwestern is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent physical therapists.
Academic Prerequisites
International students must complete all program prerequisites, even if they have earned a medical degree in another country.
Transcripts
Original transcripts from each college or university attended must be submitted to PTCAS. Students should keep copies of the transcripts.
Transcript Evaluations
An independent evaluation of transcripts is required if the degree was received from a university outside of the United States. The evaluation should include subject breakdown, semester credit hours, and grade for each undergraduate course.
Language Proficiency Exams
International applicants whose native language is not English must submit Language Proficiency Exam scores. The program accepts TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, IELTS, and DuoLingo scores. Competitive scores are typically equivalent to a TOEFL iBT score of 100 or above.

Licensure for International Students
