Program Overview
Employability and Student Success
The University's Employability Strategy embeds employability and skill development into the student lifecycle, facilitating access to professional learning for all students and providing a wide portfolio of opportunities for everyone studying at the university.
Employability Experts
The university has teams of Employability experts, based centrally within Professional Services and embedded within the Faculties/School, to ensure all students have access to a wide range of employability support and expertise.
Skills Centre
The Skills Centre offers drop-ins, courses, online resources, and 1:1 tutorials to help students succeed in their studies and beyond.
Careers
The university provides information, advice, and guidance to students and graduates, and works with employers to connect them with students and recent graduates.
Enterprise
Enterprise Bath supports students in achieving their entrepreneurial ambitions and provides guidance on their enterprising journey whilst at university.
Bath Placement
The university offers undergraduate placement degrees, providing students with valuable work experience and opportunities to make contacts for their future careers.
Bath Insights Internships
Bath Insights gives students in their first or second year the opportunity to gain work experience in a safe, supportive environment through working as an intern in one of a variety of departments on the university campus.
My Employability Profile
My Employability Profile is an online dashboard accessible to all students, allowing them to build a comprehensive employability profile that employers will recognize and value. The profile supports students in articulating and demonstrating the skills they have developed in 13 key employability capabilities, identifying gaps, and suggesting resources to fill those gaps.
The Bath Award
The Bath Award enables students to identify the skills they have acquired during their time at Bath, recognize the efforts of student leaders and volunteers, and empower students to take action and develop skills that support their success in these roles.
Employability Map
The employability map helps students break down their career planning into small, manageable steps, and provides opportunities to enhance skills, gain experience, and build confidence.
