The university program in question is the Bachelor's Degree in Music Studies, offered by the Department of Music Studies.

Program Description

The new undergraduate program was introduced, taking into account significant requests and observations from the department's instructors, students, and alumni. The program emphasizes:

• The ability of students to shape their program with maximum freedom, choosing specialized courses that suit their interests.
• The connection between theory and musical practice and creativity, through the formation of musical ensembles and the integration of artistic actions and practical lessons into university life.

Program Structure

The five-year program is completed with the preparation of a dissertation and leads to the award of a degree equivalent to a single first and second cycle degree (integrated master). The courses are organized into six thematic fields:

• History Culture (courses with the code IP)
• Theory Analysis (THA)
• Ethnomusicology Byzantine Musicology (EB)
• Education Psychology Music Therapy (ETH)
• Acoustics Technology Informatics (TP)
• Composition (institutionalized Direction, code SN)

Student Options

Students can focus on one or more fields that interest them, thus shaping their personal academic profile. In addition to the above fields, students also have the opportunity to attend music practice courses (code MP), through participation in one or more musical ensembles of their choice. These courses include:

• Chamber Music Ensembles
• Early Music Ensembles
• Classical Eastern Music Ensembles
• Experimental and Improvisational Music Ensembles
• Guitar Workshop
• Choral Workshop
• Orchestra
