Program Overview

Formation ‡ l'enseignement universitaire et reconnaissance des connaissances thÈoriques

The Faculty of Letters offers a specific training program for its assistants and doctoral students, particularly those destined for secondary school teaching. This program is recognized by the HEP Lausanne for 6 ECTS credits.

Organization of the Program

The program consists of three modules in the form of training or individual work:

  1. Module 1: "Introduction to University Teaching" training provided by the Center for Teaching Support (1 ECTS)
  2. Module 2: Workshops provided by the Faculty of Letters and individual work (2 ECTS)
    • Workshop I: "Developing a Pedagogical Scenario"
    • Workshop II: "Overview of Technologies for Teaching at UNIL"
    • Workshop III: "Analyzing and Implementing a Pedagogical Scenario"
  3. Module 3: Individual work and personalized follow-up by a counselor (3 ECTS)
    • Preparation of a course syllabus and a commented pedagogical scenario
    • Reading of articles with a report and integration of relevant elements into the pedagogical scenario
    • Observation of a course session by a counselor
    • Balance: reflective exercise on practice

Procedure for Recognizing the Didactic Training Certificate

To have the didactic training certificate recognized, assistants must follow these steps:

  1. The Dean's Office sends a certified letter to each assistant who has completed the theoretical training provided by the CSE and obtained the attached ECTS credits.
  2. A copy of this certificate can be attached to the application file for admission to the HEP for S2 teaching training (or combined training for S1 + S2 degrees).
  3. Once admission to the HEP is officially validated, the original certificate must be presented to the HEP's Academic Service, which will then recognize 6 equivalent credits for the future theoretical training provided by the HEP.
