The Master of Science in Forensic Science, Orientation Digital Investigation and Identification, offers a theoretical, technical, and practical education in digital investigation and identification in the information society. Students acquire a transversal vision and in-depth knowledge of the different fields of forensic science, complemented by advanced technical skills in the digital field.

The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of digital investigation and identification, including:
- Investigation and research of information on the internet or in the Darkweb
- Digital investigation of a hard drive or mobile phone
- Study of real cases from a legal perspective

Many companies must consider a holistic approach to security and crime related to new technologies, whether it is internal fraud committed by employees (data theft) or cyberattacks, including economic espionage and counterfeiting.

Admission Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or a related field. Other degrees or titles may be considered equivalent, subject to certain conditions.

Language of Instruction
French, with a recommended level of C1. A good understanding of English is also essential, as most of the literature is published in English, and some courses may be taught in English.
Enrollment and Deadlines
Applications must be submitted before April 30th. For students who require a visa to study in Switzerland, the deadline is February 28th.

Mid-September, according to the academic calendar.
Content of the Formation
Descriptive and Structure of the Studies
The program consists of four modules:
- Tronc Commun (38 ECTS): Covers the transversal fields of forensic science, including expert opinions, mandates, and reports, interpretation of scientific evidence, and conferences.
- Enseignements approfondis de l'orientation (40 ECTS): Provides in-depth education in digital investigation and identification, including investigation and research on the internet, digital investigation of devices, and study of real cases.
- Enseignements complémentaires de l'orientation (12 ECTS): Offers additional courses in areas such as computer forensics, malware and cyber threats, and media security.
- Mémoire (30 ECTS): A research project that consists of personal research.
Mobility
The School has agreements with several international universities, allowing students to spend a semester (up to 30 credits) abroad during their second year. The semester or project completed abroad is, in principle, fully recognized upon return.
Some research projects can be carried out in a professional environment, thanks to partnerships.
