Introduction to the Program
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Strategies for Promoting Cycling is an innovative program aimed at addressing the need for specialized postgraduate training in promoting cycling in French-speaking Switzerland. Developed in collaboration with the Fondation formation continue UNIL-EPFL and supported by the Conference Velo Suisse, PRO VELO Suisse, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and the SuisseEnergie program of the Office federal de l'Energie (OFEN), this program offers a comprehensive approach to cycling promotion.

- Practices and Behaviors: Understanding practices, needs, and challenges related to cycling development.
- Infrastructures and Amenities: Applying principles of cycling urbanism to make territories welcoming for various cycling practices and ensuring the integration of cycling with public transport.
- Policies and Implementation: Identifying actors, levers, and resistances in implementing cycling policies and developing integrated strategies for promoting cycling.
