Program Overview
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Communication des organisations publiques is a comprehensive program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate in the public sector.
Objectives
The program aims to:
- Comprehend the challenges of public communication and its evolution in democratic societies
- Identify the primary types and forms of public communication
- Understand the basic models and instruments of communication
- Develop a communication concept for a public organization or non-profit organization
- Acquire skills in media relations
Target Audience
The program is tailored for:
- Participants in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program
- Political and administrative leaders responsible for communication activities
- Managers in public enterprises or non-profit organizations
- Managers in companies working with or for the public sector
Program Structure
The program consists of 12 sessions, held every Friday from April 4 to July 4, 2025, with an additional session on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The sessions will take place from 9:15 am to 4:15 pm at the IDHEAP building.

Teaching Method
The program employs a combination of theoretical inputs, case studies, discussions, group work, and expert interventions. Participants will also have the opportunity to work on a personal project to apply the concepts discussed during the program.
Documentation and Bibliography
The program includes a comprehensive documentation package, featuring a book, scientific articles, and presentation materials. The required textbook is "Communication des organisations publiques" by Martial Pasquier.
Certificate and Attestation
Participants who actively participate in the program and complete a project will receive a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) with a specialization, equivalent to 10 ECTS credits. Those who attend the program but do not complete a project will receive an attendance certificate.
Admission Requirements
The program is open to individuals with a university degree or equivalent professional experience.
Tuition Fee
The program fee is CHF 4,500, which includes documentation. A 10% discount is available for IDHEAP alumni.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation must be announced in writing. If a cancellation is announced between 21 and 10 days before the program starts, 50% of the registration fee is due. If a cancellation is announced less than 10 days before the program starts, the full registration fee is due.
Language
The primary language of instruction is French.
