The Dipl¶me d'Universitķ (DU) in Veterinary Psychiatry is a two-year university degree program that aims to provide practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate, treat, and prevent behavioral disorders in companion animals.
Program Description
The program is designed for veterinarians, medical professionals, and researchers who want to acquire a comprehensive understanding of veterinary psychiatry. The curriculum includes theoretical teaching, practical training, and research activities. The program is open to veterinarians with at least three years of clinical practice, as well as to veterinarians, medical doctors, pharmacists, and biologists holding a master's degree in ethology.
Admission Criteria
To be admitted to the program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Veterinarians with at least three years of clinical practice for the clinical track
- Veterinarians, medical doctors, pharmacists, and biologists holding a master's degree in ethology for the research track
- Holders of the Dipl¶me d'Etudes Internes (DEI) in Veterinary Behavioral Medicine from the French National Veterinary Schools can apply for a "passerelle" (bridge program)
