The DiplŰme Inter-Universitaire (DIU) in Suivi Thťrapeutique Pharmacologique et Adaptation de Posologie des mťdicaments is a university diploma program that aims to train healthcare professionals in pharmacological therapeutic monitoring and dosage adaptation.


Program Description

The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prescribe, perform, and interpret medication dosages, as well as implement a personalized treatment approach. The program covers various aspects of pharmacology, including analytical, pharmacological, statistical, and computer science techniques.


Program Objectives

The program objectives are to:


  • Describe the influence of analytical techniques on result interpretation
  • Identify sources of variability in medication effects and integrate them into therapeutic monitoring
  • Predict the quantitative impact of comorbidities and co-treatments on therapeutic monitoring
  • Define target exposure values and personalize them
  • Use various techniques and software for dosage adaptation
  • Choose the best adaptation technique to achieve a target value
  • Contribute to the proper use of medication and personalized prescriptions

Program Structure

The program is a one-year course, with one day of classes per week from January to June. The program consists of:


  • 65 hours of theoretical teaching
  • 46 hours of directed teaching The classes are held online, except for one day at the Lyon Pharmacy Faculty.

Evaluation Methods

The evaluation methods include:


  • An exam for each module
  • Obtaining a general average
  • No score below 8/20
