Salsa Music Workshop

The Atelier Musique Salsa is a program that delves into the heart of Cuban and Latin music, exploring Salsa, Son, Cha cha cha, Rumba, and Boléro with energy and creativity. The program covers the history of these music genres, instruments, codes, and rhythms that make the dance floors and stages vibrate. Students will learn to analyze phrases, tempos, and dynamics to improvise with sense and confidence.

The program is designed for musicians, singers, and instrumentalists with notions of improvisation and sufficient mastery of their instrument. The collective practice allows students to create a solid repertoire and play together with cohesion. Original arrangement exercises help students master technical and rhythmic challenges.

Program Details

• Who: The program is open to beginners and confirmed musicians.
• Where: The program takes place in the Astrée Building, room 132, Campus Lyon-Tech La Doua.
• When: The program is held on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the first session on October 1, 2025. There are 28 sessions, and no sessions are held during university vacations, holidays, or administrative closures.
• Requirements: Students must have sufficient mastery of their instrument to participate in the program.
