Program Overview

The DiplŰme d'Universitť (DU) in Diagnostic du Mťlanome, des Cancers Cutanťs, en Mťdecine Gťnťrale et Mťdecine du Travail is a university diploma program offered by the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1.


Program Description

The program aims to improve the clinical and theoretical knowledge of general practitioners and occupational medicine physicians in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers. The program covers topics such as the semiology of skin cancers, dermoscopy, and therapeutic notions.


Objectives

The objectives of the program are to:


  • Diagnose skin cancers and know the principles of treatment
  • Know when to request a specialized opinion for a pigmented lesion
  • Become familiar with telemedicine tools

  • Theoretical teaching (40 hours)
  • Practical teaching (10 hours)
  • Internship (40 hours)
  • E-learning (20 hours)
  • Pre-test, final exam, discussion, and presentation of memoirs (15 hours)

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, candidates must:


  • Be a doctor or an intern in medicine
  • Have a DES in occupational medicine or general medicine, or be in an internship in one of these two specialties
  • Provide a letter of motivation and a copy of their diplomas
  • Obtain the written agreement of the program director

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program are:


  • 904 for initial training
  • 1100 for continuing education (individual or employer-funded)

Evaluation

The evaluation consists of:


  • An written exam based on clinical cases (40 questions, 2 hours)
  • An evaluation of the memoir by two examiners
  • Attendance at teaching sessions is mandatory

Maximum Enrollment
