The Diplôme d'Université (DU) in Sénologie and Cancer du Sein is a university diploma program offered by the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of breast pathology and cancer.

  • 3 mandatory sessions: radiology, radiochirurgie, anapath-radiologie-chirurgie
  • 2 optional sessions to be validated among the 3 proposed: dissection, genetics, IRM
• Observation Stage: Surgery, radiology, radiotherapy, anatomical pathology, nuclear medicine, genetics, medical oncology

Evaluation Methods

• Assiduity: Mandatory presence at all seminars; assiduity will be evaluated by the teaching managers and will condition the authorization to present the exam.
• Evaluation Methods:
  • Written exam of 2 hours to evaluate theoretical knowledge, consisting of 3 to 5 essay questions. Grading scale: 20
  • Oral exam of 40 minutes with an interpretation of mammographies (20 minutes) and a clinical case (20 minutes). The student is evaluated on the proposed management for the clinical case. Grading scale: 20

• Minimum Enrollment: 12 students
• Maximum Enrollment: 20 students

Admission Procedure

1. Pedagogical Agreement: Request the agreement of the pedagogical manager by sending a CV and a letter of motivation.
2. Administrative Registration: From August 25, 2025, with the positive return of the pedagogical manager, go to the university platform to download, fill, and transmit the required documents for registration.
