The Diplôme Inter-Universitaire (DIU) in Santé, with a focus on Audiologie et otologie médicale, is a comprehensive program designed for medical professionals, audioprothesists, and kinesitherapists. The program aims to provide a thorough understanding of the clinical and paraclinical evaluation of hearing and balance disorders, along with practical training in examination techniques and therapeutic management.


Objectives

The program has several objectives, including:


  • Applying embryology and anatomy to understand audio-vestibular disorders
  • Interpreting normal and abnormal imaging of the audio-vestibular system
  • Understanding the physiology of hearing and balance
  • Mastering different techniques of audiometry and vestibular examination
  • Recognizing and managing various audio-vestibular pathologies, including those related to genetics, infections, and systemic diseases

Program Structure

The program consists of:


  • A common core (tronc commun) with 86 hours of theoretical teaching, 2 hours of practical work, and 28 hours of internship
  • An optional module in Audiologie with 4 hours of theoretical teaching and 34 hours of practical work
  • An optional module in Vestibule with 14 hours of theoretical teaching and 30 hours of practical work

  • Attendance and participation in classes and internships
  • Written exams (60 multiple-choice questions for the common core, 40 for each optional module)
  • Internship evaluation

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees are:


  • 1503 for initial training
  • 1850 for continuing education (individual or employer-sponsored)

Duration

The program lasts for 1 year, with a total of 104 hours of theoretical teaching, 66 hours of practical work, and 28 hours of internship.
