Program Overview
The Dipl¶me Inter-Universitaire (DIU) in Imagerie Nķphro-Urologique, Morphologique, Fonctionnelle, and Interventionnelle is a university diploma program offered by the Universitķ Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in association with several other universities.
Program Description
The program aims to perfect knowledge in anatomo-physio-pathology, medical and surgical management of uro-nephrological diseases, and imaging techniques. It also provides training in diagnostic procedures, radiology intervention, and functional imaging techniques.
Objectives
- Perfect knowledge in anatomo-physio-pathology of the genito-urinary system
- Improve knowledge in medical and surgical management of uro-nephrological diseases
- Develop skills in genito-urinary imaging, particularly in uro-nephrological pathology
- Train in diagnostic imaging procedures in uro-nephrology
- Train in radiology intervention, mainly diagnostic, in uro-nephrology
- Introduce techniques in functional imaging and emerging imaging techniques
Program Structure
- Duration: 1 year, 200 hours
- Theoretical teaching: 80 hours, divided into 5 modules of 4 half-days
- Practical teaching: Half-days of specialized practical training in an approved service
- The number of half-days of practical training required for validation may vary based on the student's prior level of training and experience
Evaluation Modalities
- The diploma is awarded based on the success of a knowledge evaluation and the validation of a specialized practical training
- The final exam consists of a national written theoretical test lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes
- The practical training validation is based on attendance control, a training logbook, and possibly a practical exam at the end of the training
Evaluation Criteria
- Theoretical exam: Noted on 100 points
- Practical training validation: Noted on 100 points
- Candidates who obtain a global score of 100/200, resulting from the sum of the theoretical exam score (at least 50/100) and the practical training validation score (at least 50/100), are declared admitted to the DIU
Target Audience
The program is open to:
- Specialists in Radiodiagnostic-Imagerie Mķdicale holding a French diploma
- Specialists in Nuclear Medicine holding a French diploma

Access is authorized after agreement from the program director.
