- Be able to follow up on a patient with chronic cardiac assistance
- Be able to follow up on a heart transplant patient
- Be able to manage the hospitalization of a patient with a cardiac implant or assistance in the absence of gravity

To be eligible for the DIU program, candidates must:
- Be a doctor with a specialization in cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, or a related field
- Have a strong interest in advanced heart failure and its treatment
- Submit a curriculum vitae, a copy of their diploma, and a letter of motivation
- Obtain the approval of the pedagogical commission
