Program Overview

The Diplôme Inter-Universitaire (DIU) in Mésothérapie is a university diploma program that aims to initiate and train doctors in mesotherapy. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic concept, its applications, and its integration into daily medical practice.


Program Description

Mesotherapy is a therapeutic concept that aims to bring the treatment closer to the site of the pathology for greater efficacy. It is a form of injectable allopathy, administered via intradermal and subcutaneous routes, and is recognized by the Academy of Medicine as an integral part of classical medicine.


Program Objectives

The program has several objectives:


  • Initiate and train doctors in mesotherapy
  • Review the physiological and physiopathological bases of pain
  • Explain the place of mesotherapy in the treatment of painful pathologies
  • Provide therapeutic applications by experienced doctors
  • Enable doctors to use mesotherapy safely and effectively in their daily practice
  • Update knowledge in mesotherapy and coordinate research through end-of-study memoirs

Program Structure

The program consists of:


  • Theoretical teaching: 58 hours, 5 sessions of 1.5 days (Friday afternoon and Saturday)
  • Practical teaching: 14 hours
  • Practical stage: 28 hours

Admission Criteria

Admission is open to:


  • French doctors or medical students (final year of internship)
  • Foreign doctors holding a medical degree and authorized to practice in their country of origin The selection of candidates is based on a dossier consisting of a letter of motivation and a curriculum vitae. The written agreement of the teaching manager must be attached to the registration dossier.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees are:


  • Initial training: 804
  • Continuous training (individual): 1430
  • Continuous training (employer): 1430

Evaluation Modalities

The evaluation modalities include:


  • Attendance (determines the right to take the exam)
  • Written exam: note out of 20 (duration 1 hour)
  • Oral exam: note out of 20
  • Memoir (note out of 20) The conditions for obtaining the diploma include validation of the stages, a average score of each test (written + oral + memoir), and a maximum delay for submitting the memoir.

Public Concerned

The program is open to doctors and medical students who wish to acquire knowledge and skills in mesotherapy. The minimum number of students required to open the program is 15, and the maximum number is 25.


Program Schedule

The program schedule includes:


  • Courses on Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Fridays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Exam on Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Optional module on dermatological and vascular aspects on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
