Introduction

The DAEU-B is a diploma that allows access to higher education in scientific fields. It is equivalent to a scientific baccalaureate and enables students to pursue higher education in fields such as science, technology, physical activities and sports, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and the medical sector.

Conditions of Entry

To be eligible for the DAEU-B, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Have interrupted their initial studies for at least 2 years and satisfy one of the following conditions:
  • Be at least 20 years old on October 1st of the year of diploma issuance and justify 2 years of professional activities, full-time or part-time, with Social Security contributions.
  • Be at least 24 years old on October 1st of the diploma issuance year.
• Foreign nationals must hold a valid residence permit on October 31st of the examination year.
• The period between the first registration for the diploma (terminal modules) and its issuance must not exceed 4 years.
• Each year, a candidate can only register for the training in one establishment.

Program Details

The DAEU-B program is offered in two formats: in-person (DAEU B en Prķsentiel) and online (DAEU B Sonate).

DAEU B en Prķsentiel

• Inscription: The registration period is August-September 2026. Candidates must contact the DAEU B secretariat to be invited to an information meeting.
• Entrķe dans la formation: The training takes place on the Doua campus in Villeurbanne (69). Classes are held in the evening from 6 pm to 8 pm for all subjects, except French, which is from 4 pm to 8 pm on Fridays.
• Diploma Requirements: The diploma is obtained when 4 subjects at the terminal level are validated through continuous assessment.
• Mandatory Subjects: French and Mathematics.
• Optional Subjects: Candidates choose 2 optional subjects from the following:
  • Physics and Chemistry
  • Biology-Chemistry and Natural Sciences
• Co¹t de la formation: The registration fee is 178 . The training cost varies depending on the funding arrangement:
  • Employer-funded or job seekers: 3,000 for the academic year.
  • Personal funding: 2,000 for the academic year.

DAEU B Sonate

• Introduction: DAEU B Sonate is an online training program that aims to insert disadvantaged audiences into the higher education system through DAEU preparations based on digital tools and distance tutoring.
• Accompaniment: A specific and individualized accompaniment is provided by adapted coaching before, during, and after the DAEU preparation.
• Rķunions d'informations: Information meetings are held in September, October, and November.
• Co¹t de la formation: The cost for job seekers is 3,000 per session. For personal funding, the cost is 1,250 per session (DAEUB Complete), with a registration fee of 178 .
• MatiĶres optionnelles: Candidates choose 2 optional subjects from a list that includes Anglais, Chimie, Comptabilitķ, Finance d'entreprise, Gķnie civil, Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre, Qualitķ, Logistique Industrielle et Organisation, and Programmation informatique.
• MatiĶres obligatoires: Franńais.
• Tests de positionnement: Positioning tests are available to help candidates choose their subjects.
• Inscription en ligne: Pre-registration is mandatory, followed by downloading and completing the registration dossier, which must be returned by email.
