The Psychomotricity program is a professional paramedical course that addresses various populations, from newborns to the elderly, with diverse difficulties, disorders, or disabilities. The program's goal is to promote psychomotor rehabilitation, education, and therapy.
The Profession
The psychomotrician exercises a paramedical profession, addressing various populations with diverse difficulties, troubles, or handicaps. Their intervention modalities are numerous, based on a psychomotor assessment to evaluate the subject's psychomotor functions and establish a psychomotor diagnosis. The psychomotrician also evaluates the patient's action capabilities and expression modalities in relation to their material and human environment.
Program Structure
The program is divided into three years, with each year comprising several modules and stages.
1st Year
- Module 1: Public Health, Medical, Surgical, and Pedagogical Pathology
- Module 2: Anatomy
- Module 3: Physiology and Neuroscience
- Module 4: Psychology and Neuropsychology
- Module 5: Psychiatry
- Module 6: Psychomotricity
- Module 7: Psychomotor Practices
- Stages: 1 stage of 15 days in a nursery, followed by 1 stage of 15 days in a kindergarten
2nd Year
- Module 1: Anatomy and Physiology
- Module 2: Pediatrics
- Module 3: Psychology
- Module 4: Psychiatry
- Module 5: Psychomotricity
- Module 6: Theoretical-Clinical
- Module 7: Psychomotor Practices
- Stages: 3 stages of ten weeks (minimum half a day per week), 1 stage of 15 days in geriatrics, psychiatry, or ESAT
3rd Year
- Module 1: Anatomy
- Module 2: Legislation
- Module 3: Psychiatry
- Module 4: Psychology
- Module 5: Psychomotricity
- Module 6: Theoretical-Clinical
- Module 7: Psychomotor Practices
- Stages: 2 parallel stages throughout the year (at least 1 day each per week)
- English courses are provided during the three years of training.
Admission and Fees
- Annual intake capacity: 66 places
- Tuition fees for the academic year: 1,376.00
- Additional fees: 105.00 for Contribution Vie Etudiante et de Campus (CVEC) to be paid to CROUS, plus mutual insurance and civil liability
