Formation d'Ingénieur, spécialité Informatique
The Informatique program at Polytech Lyon aims to train generalist engineers in computer science to design and implement information systems for businesses and industries.
Objectives of the Formation
The primary objective of this program is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to conceive and realize information systems for enterprises and industries.

- Ouverture à la recherche: The program offers opportunities for research in areas such as artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, decisional informatics, and big data.
- Professionnalisation: In the fifth year, students undertake two technical projects that allow them to deepen their skills and knowledge in specific areas, including an 8-week business intelligence project and a 13-week project implementing new technologies.
- Formation Possible par Apprentissage: The program is also available through an apprenticeship pathway over three years.
- Double Parcours: Students have the possibility of pursuing a double degree in Master's programs such as Data Sciences or Artificial Intelligence in their final year.
Admission
Admission to the program is through a national competition organized by the Réseau Polytech. Students can enter the program from Bac+2 for the third year or from Bac+4 for the fourth year.

Students from Classe Préparatoire can enter the third year at Polytech Lyon. The admission process varies depending on the type of CPGE (ATS TI, MP, MPI, PC, PSI) and involves either a competition based on titles or written and oral exams.
VOUS ETES EN L2, L3, BUT, M1, DIVERS
For students in L2, L3, BUT, M1, or other diverse backgrounds, admission is based on having validated 120 ECTS for entry into the third year or 240 ECTS for entry into the fourth year. A professional license does not allow entry into the Réseau Polytech.

Registration for the Polytech network competition takes place from January 15, 2025, to April 3, 2025. The choice of specialty and school is made before the dossier is transmitted. For BTS, M1, foreign diploma, and diverse candidates, the choice of specialty and school is made before transmitting the dossier.

For L2, L3, or IUT students, a unique dossier is downloaded from the candidate's space before May 6, 2025, at 4 PM. For M1, DE3, DE4 (foreign diploma), or diverse candidates, a dossier is required for each specialty.
Admissibilité
Results of admissibility are announced on June 6, 2025, at 2 PM. Retained candidates must pass a unique interview between June 11, 2025, and June 21, 2025.

The publication of admissions will be communicated from June 26, 2025, at 2 PM.

Polytech Lyon welcomes international students each year. The competition is the same as for national candidates. International students must follow the Campus France procedure if their country is part of this procedure.
Programme
The Informatique formation is organized over six semesters in three years (3A, 4A, and 5A). Each semester is composed of teaching units (UE) and each UE is further divided into sub-units (EC).
