Program Overview

Introduction to the PeiP D Program

The PeiP D program, also known as the Parcours des écoles d'ingénieurs du réseau Polytech – parcours D, is a three-year preparatory cycle designed for students who have completed or are completing the Baccalauréat STI2D (Science and Technology of Industry and Sustainable Development). This program is specifically tailored to prepare students for entry into the engineering cycle of the Polytech network, offering a progressive and professionalizing education.

Objectives of the PeiP D Program

The primary objectives of the PeiP D program are:

  • To acquire a solid scientific foundation adapted to the technological profile.
  • To construct a project as an engineer through multidisciplinary teachings.
  • To develop professional experience integrated into the training.
  • To access the engineering cycle of the Polytech network without a competitive examination after validation.

Program Structure and Locations

The PeiP D program is offered in two locations:

Roanne

  • The program is delivered in partnership with the University Jean Monnet – Saint-Étienne, leading to a double degree with the Licence Sciences pour l'Ingénieur (SPI).

Bourg-en-Bresse

  • The program is offered in partnership with the IUT Lyon 1, leading to a double diploma with either the BUT Métiers de la Transition et de l'Efficacité Énergétique (MT2E) or the BUT Informatique (INFO).

Admission Requirements

Admission to the PeiP D program is through the Geipi Polytech technological competition (STI2D). The requirements include:

  • Holding a French technological baccalaureate (STI2D) or being in the process of obtaining it.
  • Note that students who did not pass their baccalaureate in a French lycée or a lycée approved by the AEFE cannot take the Geipi Polytech competition.
