Lean Management Program

The Lean Management program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of lean management principles and their application in industrial settings.

Prerequisites and Objectives
- Prerequisites: Having internship experience in an industrial environment at engineering assistant level is fundamental. This is carried out in Semester 7. Have followed the S6 Modules: Introduction to Industrial Organization, Lean Manufacturing, Quality
- Objectives:
- Characterize the management of your internship tutor
- Identify the principles of Lean management and other management methods through continuous improvement
- Situate the evolution of the industry with the profound technological and digital transformations
- Measure the importance of developing today a management that develops people with their fundamental needs of autonomy, self-determination and personal accomplishment

The program is divided into four main sections:
- Return to the previous semester’s internship
- Linking the management of their internship with the principles of Lean Management and Operational Excellence
- Openness to other management approaches through continuous improvement
- Openness to critiques of Lean Management, and the derivatives of Lean in services, hospitals, design offices, projects, start-ups, IT
- Traditional management
- Brief review of some management theorists
- The main activities of the manager and the need to adapt his management to his interlocutor and his environment
