Introduction to the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
The School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence was established in September 2019 and offers three undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. The school's computer science discipline is ranked in the top 1 percent worldwide according to Essential Science Indicators (ESI).

The school's students have won more than 300 provincial or higher-level awards annually in domestic and international competitions. In the past five years, the school has undertaken over 350 major research projects with research funding exceeding 220 million yuan ($30.67 million). These efforts have produced significant achievements with economic and social impact.
International Cooperation
The school is a leader in international cooperation, co-developing the China-Russia Supercomputing Research Institute and the Sino-Russian Advanced Digital Intelligence Institute with Lomonosov Moscow State University. It has also co-founded the Sino-Germany Institute, Zhengzhou University's sole institution dedicated to international exchange and talent training. The school has established partnerships with the University of Cambridge and McGill University.
Industry Collaboration
The school is strongly connected to industry, collaborating with leading enterprises such as Unicompute Technology and Weihua Group to establish R&D centers and labs. Its supercomputing resources support initiatives in smart city governance, environmental monitoring, and research across chemistry, materials, biology, and medicine.
