Introduction to Zhengzhou University's 2020 Calligraphy Program

Zhengzhou University is a key university under the "211 Project" and a first-class university construction university. According to the spirit of the Ministry of Education's document "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Recruitment of Special Types of Ordinary Colleges and Universities in 2020" (Teaching Letter [2019] No. 10), our university plans to recruit 80 students for the calligraphy program in 2020.

Admission Rules

1. For provinces where art students are not divided into liberal arts and sciences, all students who meet the admission requirements can apply. For provinces where art students are divided into liberal arts and sciences, only liberal arts students are allowed to apply.
2. Shandong students must obtain a bachelor's degree qualification certificate from the Shandong Provincial Unified Examination. Students from Henan, Hunan, Shanxi, Anhui, Gansu, Sichuan, Fujian, Guizhou, and Guangxi must obtain a bachelor's degree qualification certificate from the provincial unified examination. The cultural course scores must not be lower than the provincial bookkeeping class undergraduate control score line.
3. For students who have passed the examination, admission is based on the comprehensive score from high to low. Cultural course scores and professional course scores each account for 50% of the comprehensive score. The calculation formula is:
   • Comprehensive score = (cultural course score / cultural course full score) ﾗ 100 ﾗ 50% + (professional course score / professional course full score) ﾗ 100 ﾗ 50%.
4. For Shandong Province, the admission rules for the unified examination are followed. For students who have passed the examination, admission is based on the comprehensive score from high to low. Cultural course scores account for 60%, and professional course scores account for 40%. The calculation formula is:
   • Comprehensive score = cultural course score ﾗ 60% + (professional course score / 100) ﾗ 750 ﾗ 40%.
5. If the provincial admissions office (examination office) has clear parallel volunteer admission rules, follow their admission rules.
6. If the comprehensive scores are the same, admission is based on the cultural course score from high to low. If the cultural course total score is the same, then admission is based on the language, foreign language, and mathematics scores from high to low.

Re-examination of New Students

After new students are admitted, the university will conduct a re-examination according to the relevant regulations. If any student has cheated on the exam or fails the qualification re-examination, they will be dealt with according to the relevant regulations, up to and including cancellation of admission qualifications.

Organization and Supervision

1. The Zhengzhou University Admissions Work Leading Group is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and supervision of the university's special-type admissions work and is responsible for the safety of the admissions process.
2. The entire process of calligraphy admissions is supervised by the university's disciplinary inspection and supervision department, and actively accepts social supervision. Anyone who violates the regulations will be severely investigated and dealt with. Any student who cheats on the exam or uses deceitful means to apply for or be admitted to the university will have their admission qualifications or academic qualifications canceled.

• The Ministry of Education and the provincial government may issue new regulations, which will be followed.
• If the tuition fee standard is adjusted, it will be implemented according to the latest tuition fee standard of Henan Province.
