The Public Administration program was established in 1985, making it one of the earliest programs of its kind in the country. The program has undergone significant developments, including:

• 1993: Granted the right to confer master's degrees in Administrative Management
• 2003: Granted the right to confer professional master's degrees in Public Administration (MPA)
• 2006: Granted the right to confer master's degrees in Public Administration as a first-level discipline
• 2010: Approved by the Ministry of Education as a comprehensive reform pilot university for Public Administration (MPA) professional degree education
• 2011: Granted the right to confer doctoral degrees in Public Administration as a first-level discipline
