Cinema de Animaçăo e Artes Digitais (Bacharelado)

Overview

The Cinema de Animaçăo e Artes Digitais (Bacharelado) course integrates a set of practical and theoretical activities that focus on the construction of animated movement in different techniques (2D, 3D, and Stop-Motion animation), combined with the study of cinematic language and the search for new possibilities in technological art.

Differentiation of the Course at UFMG

The course aims to form citizens for the creation, criticism, production, and dissemination of artistic and knowledge works, practical and theoretical, in the field of Animation Cinema and Digital Arts, always aiming at ethical action, aesthetic maturity, humanistic sensitivity, and social responsibility. The course is located within the Escola de Belas Artes (EBA), allowing students to interact and participate in activities from other EBA courses, such as Visual Arts, Theater, Dance, Fashion, and Conservation and Restoration, as well as proximity to the UFMG School of Music.

Areas of Professional Activity

The course seeks to form professionals with technical mastery and artistic and authorial creation capacity (individually or in teams) and who can also deal with the observed transformations in this context. To this end, it is essential that they possess intellectual, critical, and reflective autonomy, enabling continued learning, as well as the ability to navigate between different media and technological platforms and their respective production procedures and particular aesthetic and language characteristics.
