Objectives

The general objectives of the Parent Coaching program are to:

• Develop coaching groups for parents of children with ASD, aiming to increase the functionality and quality of life of the children and their families.

The specific objectives are to:

• Develop coaching groups for parents of children with ASD
• Improve the occupational performance of children with ASD and their families
• Improve the sense of maternal/paternal competence
• Increase the social participation of children with ASD and their families
• Train students for action in this area
• Stimulate the production of knowledge about the intervention of Occupational Therapy in attending to children with ASD and their families
