The Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design at the School of Fine Arts (EBA) - UFMG aims to form professionals who can work in various areas of the fashion field, such as product management and manufacturing management, textile design, and fashion consulting. The program also enables students to produce signs and methods of language, developing a dynamic and functional interaction with the sociocultural environment and the job market.
Program Objectives
The Fashion Design program at EBA-UFMG has the purpose of forming professionals capable of developing a historical and prospective vision, centered on socioeconomic and cultural aspects, revealing awareness of the economic, social, anthropological, environmental, aesthetic, and ethical implications of their activity. Additionally, students will master the language of fashion, expressing concepts and solutions in their projects, according to various techniques of visual expression and reproduction.
Program Structure
- The program offers 45 vacancies for initial classes, with entry in the first semester of each year, functioning mainly in the evening period.
- It is considered a face-to-face course, with a minimum duration of 8 semesters and a maximum of 14 semesters.
- The program consists of 28 compulsory disciplines, totaling 1,545 hours/class, which, added to the optional and elective disciplines, result in a total of 2,400 hours/class.
- There is also admission through the selective process for remaining vacancies, distributed in: classification in lists of excess for initial vacancies, continuation of studies, reoption, transfer, or obtaining a new title.
