Morocco - Travelteer Program

Overview

The Travelteer program offers volunteering opportunities to students for 4 weeks in Morocco. Funding is available for the Atlas Outreach 4-week program. The program fee is ｣1080, which includes a ｣184 non-refundable deposit, plus flights and additional costs.

Program Details

• The Atlas Outreach program takes volunteers to a remote community in the Atlas mountains and covers the following projects:
  • Education
  • Infrastructure
  • Agriculture
  • Women empowerment
• Optional Tours cannot be funded and cannot be included as part of the 4 consecutive volunteering weeks.

Costs and Funding Payments

Students Awarded Standard Funding:

• Pay a non-refundable deposit direct to Travelteer (｣184)
• Go Global will pay some of the funding direct to Travelteer to cover the remaining program fee (｣896)
• Go Global will pay an initial funding installment on arrival in Morocco (｣384)
• Go Global will pay a final funding installment at the end of the program (｣100)
• Responsible for any additional costs

Students Awarded Enhanced Widening Participation Funding:

• Pay a non-refundable deposit direct to Travelteer (｣184)
• Go Global will pay some of the funding direct to Travelteer to cover the remaining program fee (｣896)
• Go Global will pay an initial funding installment on arrival in Morocco (｣584)
• Go Global will pay a final funding installment at the end of the program (｣100)
• Responsible for any additional costs

What is Included in the Program Fee:

• 24/7 in-house support
• Accommodation
• Transport between selected projects
• 3 meals a day excluding weekends

What is Not Included in the Program Fee:

• Flights
• Visa
• In-country airport transfers
• DBS checks
• Any additional costs

Eligibility

• Sign a grant agreement and participation agreement by the deadline
• Complete the program in full
• Complete Swansea University's travel approval process by the deadline
• Current Widening Participation criteria:
  • Annual household income below ｣25,000
  • Students receiving Universal Credit
  • Care leavers and care-experienced students
  • Caregivers
  • Estranged students
  • Refugees and asylum seekers

International Travel Approval

• Watch the Summer Program Travel Approval Overview video
• Complete the online Crisis24 training modules
• Complete the Health Declaration Form
• Complete the Request to Travel form to determine the risk rating of the planned destination
• Email a copy of the Request to Travel form and evidence of Crisis24 training to the Go Global team
