Zoology with a Foundation Year, BSc (Hons)

The Zoology with a Foundation Year programme is designed for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements for the BSc Zoology degree. This four-year programme includes an integrated foundation year, which provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to the BSc Zoology degree.

Course Overview

The discipline of Zoology is at the core of our understanding of the natural world. This programme offers students the opportunity to dedicate themselves to the scientific study of animals, from their physiology and anatomy, ecology and behaviour, to their evolution and conservation. Students will acquire the skills to play a major role in many sectors, from terrestrial and marine biology and conservation to agriculture, medicine, public health, and veterinary science.

Entry Requirements

• A level: CDD - DDD
• BTEC: DMM
• UK Access: 27 Merits in Science, including all Biology modules at Level 3
• T Levels: Distinction and grade B/6 in GCSE Science/Biology
• International Baccalaureate: 28 points and grade B/6 GCSE Science/Biology

How You're Taught

Welsh Provision

Some provision is available for students who wish to study through the medium of Welsh.
