The Academic Success: Skills for learning, skills for life course is a self-directed e-learning module designed to support students in settling into university and their course. The module consists of three parts and aims to help students focus on their goals while teaching them vital new skills to succeed.

- Helping students make the most of their time at university
- Teaching students how to take charge of their own learning
- Providing advice, guidance, and support
- Grounding students in key academic skills, including different methods of learning
- Offering practical advice on developing personal and organisational skills
- Introducing students to the core values of good academic practice, such as demonstrating good academic integrity and avoiding accidental plagiarism

The module includes a series of interactive learning exercises, practice scenarios, portfolio activity 'pods', additional support resources, and a short quiz to consolidate learning.
