Introduction to Teachers as Changemakers (TaC)
The Teachers as Changemakers (TaC) program is designed to equip future teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the social and ecological challenges of our time. The program focuses on fostering social entrepreneurship education (SEE) in schools, enabling students to develop into responsible and innovative thinkers.
Program Objectives
The primary objectives of the TaC program are:
- Creating Openness to SEE: Encouraging an openness to social entrepreneurship education among students and educators.
- Introduction of New Qualification Programs: Developing and introducing new curricular and extracurricular teaching formats and workshops for students and educators in teacher training programs.
- Transfer to Other Institutions and School Practice: Transferring the knowledge and skills acquired through the program to other higher education institutions and into school practice.
Program Components
- Ringvorlesung Teaching for Impact: A lecture series held every winter semester, focusing on teaching for impact and social entrepreneurship education.
- SEE Seminar: Regular seminars offered in the free area, focusing on social entrepreneurship education and social innovation education.
- Impact Werkstatt: A workshop where educators, students, and teachers come together to develop ideas and approaches for social entrepreneurship education.
- TaC-Teaching Projects: A project aimed at developing new curricular teaching formats around entrepreneurial future skills in teacher training subjects.
Funding Opportunities
The TaC program offers funding opportunities for the development of new teaching formats and projects related to social entrepreneurship education. Funding can include support for personnel costs, lecture fees, and guest lectures, up to a maximum of 5,000 per project.
