Program Overview
University Program Information
The Professional School of Education offers various programs for students to gain practical experience abroad. These programs provide opportunities for students to experience different school systems, challenges, and daily routines.
Auslandspraktika Program
The Auslandspraktika program allows students to gain practical experience at a school abroad. The program is supported by the Professional School of Education, which helps students find a suitable school or program. The program duration is between 2-12 months and can be completed during or after the study period.
Erasmus+ Praktikum
The Erasmus+ Praktikum program allows students to complete a 2-12 month internship at a school in the Erasmus region. Students can find a school through the PASCH world map. The program is open to students during their studies and in the first year after graduation.
Förderung über DAAD Lehramt.International
The DAAD Lehramt.International program provides funding for students to complete an internship at a school outside the Erasmus region. The program duration is between 1.5-6 months for teaching students and 3-12 months for graduates of teaching programs.
Fremdsprachenassistenz Program
The Fremdsprachenassistenz program, offered by the Kultusministerkonferenz, allows students to work as foreign language assistants at a school abroad. The program is open to students of all subjects and provides an opportunity to gain insight into the education system and teaching methods of the host country. The program duration is between 6-11 months, and participants receive a stipend for their work.
SCHULWÄRTS Program
The SCHULWÄRTS program, offered by the Goethe-Institut, provides a 2-4 month internship at a school abroad for teaching students and prospective teachers. Participants receive a stipend and have the opportunity to gain international teaching experience and strengthen their intercultural competencies. The program includes a combination of seminars and digital offers, and participants are personally supported by the SCHULWÄRTS team and a mentor at the school.
